Newcastle United Predicted XI (And Score) Vs Arsenal

12. Top Options From The Bench

Ayoze Perez

Ayoze Perez was highly impressive against Manchester United playing on the left-hand side and his defensive contribution was fantastic. With Florian Thauvin and Daryl Janmaat forming a great relationship on the right-hand-side it would be great to see Perez and Haidara performing as well on the opposite flank. He struggled against Northampton playing up front on his own but could easily make an appearance against Arsenal.

Siem de Jong

Siem de Jong grabbed a goal just eight minutes into his first start this season and looked classy throughout the majority of the game against Northampton mid-week. He should have had two at least by half time, the attacking midfielder missed a free header inside the six yard box and couldn't chip the ball past Ryan Clarke after a beautiful deft touch from the No.10 presented him with a glorious opportunity. More important than anything is that de Jong looked fit and healthy and he could be a key player for Steve McClaren this season if that continues.

Paul Dummett

Paul Dummett tweeted that he is making progress on his current injury and was included in the squad for Newcastle's mid-week game against Northampton.
