Despite starting very well, Daryl Janmaat struggled with the pace of Southampton's Sadio Mane in the second-half and (although the whole defence looked a bit ragged) the Dutch defender will need to be more positionally aware against Swansea, who will likely play Jefferson Montero on the left. The Ecuadorian winger was exceptional against Branislav Ivanovic last weekend and Janmaat will certainly not be underestimating the 25-year-old's ability.
With Paul Dummett racing back to fitness, Massadio Haidara needs to convince Steve McClaren that he is worthy of a first-team spot. Unfortunately for the 22-year-old he will be marking Andre Ayew - who demonstrated his class last weekend bu putting in one of the best performances of the weekend and scoring against Chelsea on his Premier League debut. Haidara's touch let him down against Southampton and, given the Swans' counter-attacking ability, he can't afford to make the same mistakes or he will be punished by Ayew, Montero or Gylfi Sigurdsson. I think Steve McClaren will have a more disciplined approach away from home and will restrict Haidara and Janmaat's attacking presence against Garry Monk's side. If both full-backs play as high up the pitch as they did against the Saints then the game could be over by half-time.
