Newcastle United - WhatCulture End-Of-Season Awards

12. Most-Improved Player Award

Chris' Winner: John Carver. Granted he's not strictly a player, but Carver really has improved. After 10 games without a victory, including nine losses, Carver managed to discover how to win a game against West Ham United. Why should we doubt that he wouldn't improve further and live up to his "best coach in the Premier League" tag next season? Ross' Winner: Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. A colossus at Roma - Mapou has been magnificent during his loan spell. It's fair to say Newcastle could have done with the former Montpellier captain at St James' Park this season.
