Newcastle United - WhatCulture End-Of-Season Awards

7. The "Luis Suarez Ridiculously-Lengthy Ban" Award

Chris' Winner: Hatem Ben Arfa. Technically he didn't receive an official suspension, but Newcastle banned Ben Arfa from being anywhere near the first team during pre-season training, banished him on loan to Hull City, and then when he wasn't wanted by the Tigers anymore they terminated his contract. This effectively constituted a lengthy - and indefinite - ban. Ross' Winner: Papiss Cisse. Having already been retrospectively banned for three games for elbowing Everton's Seamus Coleman, Cisse spat back into Jonny Evans' face in March. Another seven-match suspension followed - making him a cert for this award.
