Had Andy Cole stayed at Newcastle United or longer, there's every chance that he could have rivalled Alan Shearer for the Magpies' goal-scoring record. But as it was, the former Arsenal striker's stay on Tyneside was as brief as it was spectacular as he broke scoring records and linked up with Peter Beardsley to form the most memorable of Newcastle strike-forces. He was a complete forward, able to score tap-ins, spectacular efforts and headers with the same ease, and his finishing ability was frighteningly good. It's just a shame he had to leave.
