2. Lee Clark
Birmingham City manager Lee Clark could be another potential candidate to take over from Alan Pardew should the Englishman resign from his post. Clark began his playing career with the Magpies as a youth team player in 1987 and later broke into the first team in 1990, where he played as a midfielder, enjoying a seven-year spell at St James' Park before leaving for hated derby rivals Sunderland in 1997. Yet in spite of the controversial move, and after also playing for Fulham, he ended his career on Tyneside in 2006, before taking on the role as reserve team manager. He would later embark on a managerial career, taking over at Huddersfield in 2008 and nearly guided the team into the Premier League, but his side were defeated by Millwall in the 2009-10 play-off semi-finals. Perhaps now he could be set for another coaching role at St James' Park, but this time as their manager?
