Newcastle vs Hull - 5 Key Battles

5. Robbie Brady vs Mathieu Debuchy

Robbie Brady has had a bright start to the new season with a goal in both the Premier League and Capital One Cup to his name. Curtis Davies is the only other player in the squad to have scored a goal and this is important at this early stage. Debuchy has started every game for Newcastle so far and after an uneasy start is growing in to the campaign and showing the form and ability that made him first choice for France at Euro 2012. His attacking abilities aren't doubted but at times he can be caught wrong side of a winger or simply out of position which can cause issues for his teammates. The French full back will have to be very careful on Saturday, Brady is a dangerous young player and will be full of confidence due to his bright start to the season. Like most modern full backs Debuchy enjoys flying up the wing and supporting attacks but the main threat from Hull could come down this flank so a mature defensive performance is a must from him to help nullify the threat Brady provides. As important as his battle with the French full-back could be, Brady will also need to fight for fitness with him a slight doubt for this one. Steve Bruce will know how vitally important it is to get him fit.
