As contrived and clichéd as this may sound, if you silence the St James' Park crowd, it can have a huge effect on the home team's performance. If Hull get at Newcastle early on and force mistakes and restrict them, sections of their support can turn very quickly. Against Fulham and Aston Villa, their fans have got right behind their side, even at 0-0 and 1-1 and really helped them get the results. If they are quick out the blocks and are playing well, keeping the ball on the deck, the fans will stay with them and potentially take them towards three points. On the other hand though, if Hull force the home fans to turn, it could be a different story and a slight upset could be on the cards.
