Much was expected of the big Swede but as is commonplace with youngsters from foreign lands, he failed to live up to his billing. After sitting on the bench for 19 games of the 2010/11 season, Soderberg endured loan spells with Darlington and Chesterfield before joining Norway's Molde. He would play 16 times for the three-time Tippeligaen champions before being shipped out to Sweden's Kalmar FF last year.
