After his arrival from Nottingham Forest, Lascelles has had to be patient for his chance on Tyneside, but following injuries to Fabricio Coloccini and Chancel Mbemba, the centre back has been given his chance in recent weeks. If we were to suffer relegation, Mbemba would certainly be a man in demand and the former Anderlecht star's time in the North East could be over after only a year. It would be a shame to see the Congolese 21 year old progress his career away from the Magpies, but his immense potential will leave us with next to no chance of hanging onto his talents. However, this would leave Lascelles with the chance to cement his position in the team alongside Taylor. Plus, if you add in his Championship experience during his Forest days and the powerful defender could play a vital role in helping the team's bid for promotion.
