Newcastle's Primary Target Set To "Pull Out" Of Club Training Camp To Initiate Move

Newcastle United's primary transfer target Georginio Wijnaldum is poised to pull out of PSV Eindhoven's summer camp in the Alps - in order to initiate a move to Tyneside. Clubcall.com claim Wijnaldum, who is still listed as heading on the trip to Lake Geneva on PSV's official website, will remain in Holland rather than travelling as speculation mounts over his future. Reports emerged on Wednesday that Newcastle had agreed a fee for Wijnaldum with PSV in the region of between £11 million-£14 million, although these are yet to be confirmed.

The Chronicle have also claimed that talks between PSV and Newcastle will continue on Thursday, with the Magpies keen to sell the club to the midfielder. Wijnaldum wants to be reassured that he will play alongside the likes of Siem de Jong in Newcastle's starting line-up, and he also wants to be briefed on the Magpies' other transfer targets - such as Charlie Austin and Bas Dost. Interestingly, the fee for Wijnaldum could become inflated due to the fact Feyenoord - where the midfielder came through the ranks - could be due up to 15% of any transfer fee. Sunderland, Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain had all previously been credited with an interest in Wijnaldum, but it seems to be a straight fight between Newcastle and Everton now. The midfielder has already been capped 18 times by Holland, scoring twice, and is regarded as one of the most-promising players in Europe due to the fact he has a habit of regularly finding the back of the net. Furthermore, the 24-year-old has already won three trophies with PSV and has made 152 appearances, scoring an impressive 56 times from midfield and contributing 23 assists, since moving there from Feyenoord in 2011. The midfielder also netted for Holland during the 3-0 third-place play-off win over Brazil at last year€™s World Cup.
