Walter Payton is remembered for his incredible ability to make even the most spectacular feats of football greatness look like childs-play.

He lived by the motto 'Never Die Easy', which is clear to see when looking back at his play style - Payton brought the practices of irregular running patterns, 'handing-off' and hurdling defenders into the mainstream. He would never intentionally run out of bounds, and he certainly wouldn't take a hit without dealing an equal amount of damage back to the tackler. He was the living embodiment of tenacity.

He built a one time NFL record of 16,726 career yards, with 110 rushing TDs and a Super Bowl victory to boot.
