Marcus Allen's stats speak for themselves - the guy was the first ever player to reach 10,000 rushing and 5000 receiving yards, he holds the record of 16 consecutive seasons with a rushing TD and scored over 10 TDs at 37 years of age - a league record (and one that will probably remain untouched).

Allen was a gifted 'all-round' player, with a good approach to the sport in general. He was incredibly versatile, which gave him an edge on his peers, as he seemed to embrace a creative approach to his playing style - he wasn't afraid to take risks if there was even a small margin of a payoff. He finished up his career with 12,243 rushing yards and 123 rushing TDs.
