NFL Draft 2013: Full Mock Draft Of The First Round

No. 23: Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota VikingsThe pick: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State The Vikings are another team with two picks in the first round and have a hole at cornerback, especially since Antoine Winfield left to sign with the Seattle Seahawks. So to replace the veteran corner, they will be looking for the next best corner available at the time, which should be Rhodes out of Florida State. Rhodes is a tall corner who can play well in zone coverage, but did struggle when it came to man-on-man. Then again, in today's NFL where the rules favor the wide receiver, a lot of corners tend to have trouble. Even so, that won't stop the Vikings from using their first of two draft picks on drafting a new number 1 corner for their defense and taking the former Seminoles player at 23. If Rhodes is there, it's a move they need to make.
