No. 30: Atlanta Falcons
The pick: Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise State The Falcons were so close to winning the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers back in January, yet, they had trouble stopping their offense late in the game. Atlanta also lost two important defenders in Brent Grimes and Dunta Robinson, leaving just veteran Asante Samuel. So they will be looking for the best available corner at the time. Which leaves them drafting Taylor from Boise State, whose stock has risen over the last few months. When experts started with their mock drafts, Taylor was as low as a third round pick. Over the months though, he's impressed scouts and GM's to the point where he bounced from an early second-round pick to as high as a late first-round pick. Taylor will fit in well with the Falcons defense in their secondary playing alongside Samuel.
