Norwich have taken the unusual step of confirming that they are in talks to sign Fenerbahce defender on loan for the rest of the season, suggesting that a deal for the Nigerian defender is as good as done. Yobo is now 33 years old, so wouldnt be a good prospect for a permanent transfer. However, what Hughton needs right now is an experienced head to see the Canaries through until the end of the season. If the deal does go through, then thats exactly what he would be getting in Yobo. The player has made over 350 league appearances with many of them coming in top-flight league. In particular, he had a lengthy spell with Everton in the Premier League so Hughton knows he would be getting a player that has already played over 200 games in the EPL. His international experience with Nigeria is another example of what he could bring to the table; very few players can state that they have represented their country over 90 times. Its certainly something that Yobo can say, and just another reason why he could be exactly what Norwich needs at this time.
