Norwich City Transfers: 5 Wingers To Replace Anthony Pilkington
5. Callum McManaman (Wigan)
Wigan Athletics Callum McManaman impressed with some of the performances that he put in last season while playing in the Premier League, but for whatever reason he hasnt been able to replicate that form in the Championship this season. However, Wigan have had a tough time of it, and currently find themselves five points adrift of a play-off place. Anyone that saw McManaman in the EPL last season will know the talent he has, and why he is worth looking at. This season the player has started 11 games and contributed one goal as well as providing one assist. Further stats on him include 1.1 shots, 1 key pass and 1.6 dribbles per match as well as a disappointing average rating of 6.63. Wigan have now played 25 league games this season, so its clear that McManaman is starting less than half of those games; it can be hard to find consistency in that type of situation especially for a young player. In addition, it may be that he got the taste for playing in Englands top-flight and his inconsistent form is a by-product of losing his passion for performing in the lower leagues of English football.
