Norwich Transfers: 5 Potential January Moves For Nathan Redmond

2. Southampton

A lot of people feared the worse for Southampton after a number of their key players left in the summer. I had a sneaky suspicion that they might be okay, but even I wouldn€™t have predicted they would have made such a strong start to the season. What I would say though is that if you are a young English player there cannot be a better club to play football for than Southampton. Furthermore, a number of the fringe players from last season have really stepped up to the plate this season, and despite losing good players they also signed good talent in the summer. The Saints are not one of those clubs that have struggled for goals this season. In fact they have scored 24 goals this season, only Chelsea and Manchester City have managed more. Southampton were said to be showing an interest in the player during the summer, and its interest that they may look to renew. Of course, there is now the argument that they don€™t need him based on the successful start to the season that they have made. However, it€™s worth remembering that it€™s easy to get complacent and that€™s when you get into trouble. So, adding to their squad in January is not a bad idea, especially if they can consolidate their position near the top of the league.
