In January 20011 Jonas Gutierrez scored a very late winner to see off Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup at St. James Park. The game had ticked deep into added time and 95 minutes were on the clock when the Argentinian scored the winner. He played a one-two with Leon Best before executing a tremendous, delicate flick over goalkeeper Mark Bunn. His Newcastle side had earlier fallen behind to the Premier League strugglers but the goal was the deciding point in a brilliant comeback which dumped Blackburn out of the competition and put the Magpies through to the next round. When it looked like one of those days where Newcastle had struggled, then wasted countless opportunities to take the lead, Gutierrez stepped forward in the perfect fashion to seal the deal and put an end to what was a difficult game for his side 30 seconds after his winning-goal the whistle was blown for full-time, which showed just how late the home side left it. Luckily for them, Jonas Gutierrez never gave up and had the composure to finish off a brilliant attacking move in delightful fashion.
