PFA's Probable Team Of The Season 2019/20

4. Centre Back - Harry Maguire

Joe Gomez of Liverpool and Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu have also impressed enough to merit a place in PFA's best XI, but Harry Maguire's is a more convincing case.

He didn't let the burden of being the 'world's most expensive defender' weigh him down by any measure, and comfortably slotted into Manchester United's plans.

In what has been an erratic campaign for the Red Devils, Maguire has performed consistently well. He's adept at intercepting and possesses a keen eye for pass, maintaining an enviable 85% success rate. And the 27-year old wasn't brought to just shore up the backline, he's the focal point of United's set-pieces too.

Maguire has indeed come under fire for missing a couple of clear cut scoring opportunities, but hasn't erred in his defensive responsibilities and there's still a lot more to come from him.
