PFA's Probable Team Of The Season 2019/20
3. Centre Back - Virgil Van Dijk
Another obvious inclusion, and even though Van Dijk has slightly receded in terms of performance compared to last season, he has still done enough to be worthy of a place in PFA's team of the year.
The towering Dutch remains crucial to this Liverpool side, and an absolute clutch player too. He has completed the most passes in the league (2,234) and also averages more clearances than anyone not named James Tarkowski.
Van Dijk's physique and technical ability allows him to be such a resolute figure, and possesses innate leadership qualities too. His towering stature also drives his impeccable heading ability, having netted four times till now - the most by a defender in the league.
The ex-Southampton star is easily one of the best ever all-round defenders in the world and is once again tipped to contend for the player of the year prize he won last year.
