Predicting England's 23-Man World Cup Squad

England manager Roy Hodgson will name his 23-man World Cup squad on Monday, May 12. The Three Lions boss will also select seven standby players before finalising his choices following a friendly with Peru on June 2, ahead of this summer's tournament in Brazil. Hodgson was today boosted by the news that Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones will be fit for the finals, but still has some difficult decisions to make in the coming month. Players will undoubtedly by left sweating over whether they make it on the plane to Rio and will be eager to use this weekend to impress before the Premier League season draws to a close. Hodgson has teased that he has known his final 23-man squad 'for a while' but there could still be a few surprises in store, with the former Liverpool chief warning big names could be omitted. Supporters will be eagerly anticipating next Monday's announcement, and to pass the time, here, we attempt to predict who will make it to Brazil and who will be staying at home.
