Group B
Predicted Table: 1. Real Madrid 2. Juventus 3. Galatasaray 4. FC Copenhagen The 'Galacticos' have been handed a mixed group which will not prove to be a walkover by any means. Real Madrid are still favourites to top the group, however Juventus, now with
Carlos Tevez firing on all cylinders, will surely push them all the way. The Italian giants consistently do well whenever they compete in the Champions League and I expect this year to be no different. They maintain a strong defence and like to break teams down over the 90 minutes. Added to the problem of the classy Italian side, Madrid will not enjoy having to make a trip to Turkey to play Galatasaray. Although the Turkish champions are a good side in their own right, no team relishes a trip to Turkey in the Champions League due to the atmosphere that they face. The Turks are football mad and inherently hostile to their team's opponents, often making it a fortress during the group stages. Despite these factors I expect Madrid to dig deep and top the group, with Juventus also progressing by finishing second. I doubt FC Copenhagen will pick up many points, and I think Galatasaray's away form will be their undoing.
