8. Kolo Toure
A few months ago it seemed unlikely that Kolo Toure would even make this list, but after a run in the team in which he has performed reasonably well, he's definitely worth mentioning. In 2011 he served a ban for failing a drugs test and was frozen out by the solid partnership of Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott, as well as the impressive Nastasic. But Mancini recalled him to the side in the Manchester derby after Kompany went off through injury, and he has been in and around the team since. But his contract is up shortly and it remains to be seen whether he will be offered a new deal, or indeed he wants to sign one. He expressed his desire to stay in December, but surely he'll want some assurances that he is in the manager's plans. Which leads to another question, will Mancini even be at City next season? His brother Yaya has stated that he could end his career at the Etihad, which could have an effect also. There is still much to answer and so, like Ferdinand, it's very possible that we will have to wait until the season draws to a close before we discover the future of Kolo Toure.
