3. Charlie Adam - Liverpool to Stoke City
After a £9m move to Liverpool from Blackpool in 2011, Adam looked to have secured a coveted position in the Reds's midfield. However, under Brendan Rogers it became clear that the Scot wasn't going to play a big part in the 2012/13 season. So Adam was tempted to leave, and ended up an hour down the M6 at Stoke City. He's good with his feet, has good vision from deep in his own half and is an experienced middle man. The former Tangerines captain joins a very physical squad, known for their tenacity and dedication - Adam suits the role perfectly. He told
stokecityfc.com: "Its a great Club that is going in the right direction the foundations are here. Theyve been progressing ever since theyve been in the Premier League and its great to be part of it and hopefully we can have a successful time together. "I want to get back to scoring goals that was one of the things I didnt really do last year. Im hoping I can back to that and help the team improve on what theyve done in the previous four of five seasons here" His new manager Tony Pulis was excited to welcome his new player to the club: "Its no secret that we've been looking to bring more goals to the squad and Charlie is a fantastic signing in that respect," he said. "Not only will his creativity and his eye for delivering a pass be a great asset to us, he scored twelve goals for Blackpool in the Premier League two seasons ago."
