ManCity After Manchester City's dramatic winning of the Premier League Title last May, many expected the Sky Blues to put in a resolute and staunch challenge of their league crown this season and prove to all their detractors and critics that their goal-difference winning of the league was no fluke and certainly no flash in the pan, and that the Blue Moon had indeed risen and would stay aloft for the foreseeable. Unfortunately for Roberto Mancini and his men, their title defence ended with a whimper and four games left to play. United stretched their lead at the top of the table to six points thanks to a controversial win at the Etihad back in December and from that point on City never again took 1st spot in the table.
