9. Jermaine Jenas
Sent out on loan to first club Nottingham Forest, the 21-capped England player will return to parent club Tottenham in January and sorely needs a permanent move to get his career going. At 29-years-old, with over 250 Premiership games under his belt, one would imagine there would be plenty of offers on the table but injuries that curtailed his Aston Villa loan last season plus the feeling he has failed to fulfil his potential (and Daniel Levys notorious tough negotiating skills) could see him loaned out again, or sat in the reserves...sorry, development squad. Like Heurelho Gomes and David Bentley, Jenas obviously has no Spurs future and this transfer window presents a prime chance to salvage his career.
8. Joe Cole
Stewart Downings man of the match performance against Fulham looks to have earned him six extra months to impress manager Brendan Rodgers, however Joe Cole has yet to impress in any of his cameos. Only a lack of options elsewhere and his sky high wages appear to prevent a winter move. Daniel Sturridges imminent signing, along with
rumoured interest in Tom Ince and Lucass return to fitness have all reduced the number of opportunities Cole will get. Needing to get his massive wages off the Anfield bill, Rodgers will be praying Harry Redknapp at QPR takes a punt on his former pupil.
