Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts
8. Arsenal To Sign Alvaro Morata, Loan
Arsenal's loan bid for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata looked to be dead in the water at one point but the Gunners may yet snare their man after the forward's bust-up with manager Carlo Ancelotti. The Spanish U-21 striker has barely featured for Madrid this season and, according to Spanish sources, let Ancelotti know how he felt in a heated dressing room exchange. And that could open the door for a move to the Emirates, either on loan or permanently, as the Gunners look to use the situation to their advantage. Arsenal and their London rivals Tottenham are keen on the youngster, though it remains to be seen if Real's reluctance to sell has been softened by recent events. The Gunners are in short supply of strikers at present with Theo Walcott out for the rest of the season and new signing Yaya Sanogo still in the treatment room.
