Premier League: 10 Worst Managers Of All Time

10. Mike Walker - Everton

We head all the way back to 1994 for our first manager on the list in the form of Everton€™s Mike Walker. In January 1994 Walker replaced Howard Kendall as Everton manager and set about trying to impose himself on the Merseyside club. However, things didn€™t go to plan for the man nicknamed the €œSilver Fox€ had the club in the relegation zone on the last day of the season and staring the drop squarely in the face. This was grand old Everton in the top flight since the 50€™s and he was about to drag them down. The Toffees took on Wimbledon on the last day and things went from bad to worse as they went 2-0 down before half time. Walker looked set to be taking the club out of the division but a magnificent turn around saw Everton win 3-2, which somehow saved them from the drop and probably his job. However, next season things didn€™t get better for old Mike as Everton didn€™t win a game till November and were sitting rock bottom of the Premiership. Everton€™s worst ever start to a league season meant enough was enough for the Toffees board and Walker was sacked. He lasted just ten months at Goodison, recording only six wins (the worst record of any post-war Everton manager) before he was replaced by Joe Royle, who not only saved the Toffees from the drop but won the FA cup that very season. Following his failed spell at Everton Walker never worked in the Premier League again.
