Premier League: 10 Worst Managers Of All Time

9. Billy Davies/Paul Jewell - Derby County

Billy Davies The next entry in the list has to go to two men together, as they both have to take credit for the worst points total in Premier League history. After Derby were promoted to the Premiership in 2007, the Rams were hoping to just stay up in their first year. With Billy Davies in charge The Rams started their fight on the Premier League OK picking up their first win in September when they beat Newcastle 1-0 at home. However, this is as good as things got for The Rams and by the end of November Davies had left, the Rams had just six points and after criticising the board for lack of investment the writing was on the wall. Many fans thought Davies had overachieved in his first year and he wasn€™t up for the top flight. In came Paul Jewell to try desperately to keep The Rams in the top flight, which of course failed dramatically, as he failed to register a single win, as the Rams were relegated in March (the earliest ever in the Premier League.) The Rams broke the wrong kind of records left, right and centre registering fewest wins (1) , least points (11) as well as the earliest ever relegation. With all these much unwanted records amassed by these two there is no doubt that between them they managed one of the worst performances in Premier league history. Since then Derby have stayed in The Championship rarely threatening to return to the Premier League, with Jewell leaving in December of their first year back in the second tier, Davies is back at arch rivals Forest trying to mastermind their return to the Premiership. If they get there, Forest fans must have everything crossed it goes better than last time.
