7. Paul Ince - Blackburn
Paul Ince was already a household name before taking the Blackburn job in the summer of 2008, after he had earned a huge reputation as a player, winning multiple accolades at huge clubs such as Manchester United. And once he had retired from playing Ince took up management. He started off at Macclesfield where he masterminded The Silkmens relegation survival before going to MK Dons and getting them promoted in to League 1. Inces stock in managerial circles was quickly rising due to his reputation as a player and his performances in the lower league. So when Mark Hughes left Ewood for Manchester City, Blackburn appointed Ince their new manager and Blackburn fans had much hope for the man who collected 53 caps for England. Rovers fans optimism though was misplaced, as Ince lasted just 177 days. He managed just three wins in seventeen and after a 5-3 loss to Manchester United in the League Cup in December the fans had turned on him and the board had had enough; Inces short reign back in the Premier League was over. Blackburn took a gamble on Ince and boy did it backfire, Blackburn replaced him with Sam Allardyce who took the club up the table and since then Ince has had to try and start his career again in the lower leagues and is currently trying to get Blackpool back in to the top flight where he will hope with new experience he can do better than last time.
