Premier League: 10 Worst Managers Of All Time

8. Les Reed - Charlton

Charlton Many Premier League fans may find themselves asking, who is Les Reed? This is wholly understandable, given that Reed lasted only 6 weeks in his only management job, giving him his place in this list. He replaced Ian Dowie as Charlton manager in November 2006 to the shock of many Charlton fans, and general football fans and pundits around the country. Reed had only ever worked as a consultant before and had never worked in management, and his tenure was as disastrous as many predicted, with Charlton winning just once in his seven league matches. Additionally, he also lost five of the other six and saw Charlton knocked out of the Carling Cup by League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers. Just six weeks after taking the job, Reed and the board realised their huge mistake and he left by mutual consent, never to be heard of again in managerial circles. Reed€™s time was short lived but this spell certainly indicates why.
