Premier League 2012/13 Season Predictions – 10th – 1st
4. Arsenal
It's unhappy times at the Emirates again as the joy of early summer signings has fallen away as Van Persie is about to complete his move to once bitter rivals Manchester United. Yet another one of Wenger's captains is looking for pastures new and winners medals. All the good faith that Arsene had built up with deals for Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla has gone in one fouls swoop. The icing on the cake for the Arsenal faithful could be the news that Barcelona are looking to pinch yet another of their players, this time in Alex Song. It also seems that the Frenchman is unable to find any takers for the players he no longer requires. Chamakh, Bendtner, Park and Squillaci are all drains on his tight wage budget and the news that Jack Wilshere is going to miss more time through injury as he bids to take the award for England's Most Injured Midfielder (a prestigious award held by the likes of Jamie Redknapp and Owen Hargreaves). However it's not all doom and gloom Arsenal fans. The signing of Santi Cazorla is one that will definitely pick you up. He has every attribute that Arsenal look for in a player and could easily become a fan favourite. He can play anywhere across an attacking midfield and if he plays with Podolski, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Giroud then Arsenal will have enough to claim a top four spot. Who knows, maybe even a trophy. First Three Games: Sunderland (H), Stoke (A), Liverpool (A)
