Perennial relegation candidates I don't see any reason why this won't be another season battling away at the bottom. Roberto Martinez has to be commended for his persistence in playing his style of football in the face of relegation. They have one of the smallest operation budgets in the league and every year they somehow manage to avoid the trapdoor. It is becoming quite a feat for them. If Shaun Maloney can stay healthy for a full season and if Franco Di Santo can get his goal tally into double figures for the first time ever then this then they may even stay clear of the battle at the bottom. Personally I don't think either of those things will happen which is why I have them escaping relegation by the skin of their teeth again. First Three Games: Chelsea (H), Southampton (A), Stoke (H)
