Premier League 2012/13 Season Predictions - 20th - 11th

14. Southampton

Just like Norwich last season Southampton are looking to make the jump of two divisions in as many years stick. They have the Norwich blueprint of a highly regarded young British manager committed to playing attacking football with a squad of players largely assembled from the lower leagues and a big, powerful attacker with an unerring ability to score goals. In Rickie Lambert they have a forward who has claimed more than 20 goals in each of his last three seasons with the club. Something the St Mary's faithful hope will be enough to see them over their rivals. Good signings in Steven Davis, Nathaniel Clyne and Jay Rodriguez should mean they have enough to stay in the top flight and possibly avoid the dogfight at the bottom altogether. First Three Games: Manchester City (A), Wigan (H), Manchester United (H)
