Premier League 2012/13: Top 10 Transfers Of The Summer (So Far...)

1. Robin Van Persie to Manchester United - £24 Million

When Robin Van Persie told Arsene Wenger he was not going to sign a new contract at Arsenal, the transfer rumours began to run rampant. Wenger knew he had to cash in on his star striker or risk losing him on a free transfer, however I doubt he imagined he would have to resign to the fact that he would be going to Manchester United. Manchester United have just purchased arguably the best player in the Premier League for the last two seasons, and most definitely last season, in which he was also the Golden Boot winner. With a wand of a left foot and the ability to also play as an inside forward, Manchester United have a real strike force on their hands once RVP is paired up with talisman Wayne Rooney. Everybody knows what Van Persie is capable of, but Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson's biggest worry will be keeping 'Van The Man' fit. We still have a week's worth of transfers to go and who knows, this list may need to be completely reshuffled come deadline day, but one thing is for sure, there is some exciting new talent in the Premier League this season.
