Premier League 2013-14: Season Predictions

Norwich City

Having like Swansea survived the dreaded 'Second Season Syndrome', Norwich arguably can play with the same freedom and creativity without the pressure and the risk of succumbing to it. The strength of Norwich argubly came from their talent midfield line of Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson and Anthony Pilkington, who injected creativity, skill and inspired some great wins over top 4 sides last season (1-0 wins over Manchester United and Arsenal at home, along with a very impressive end to season, winning 4-3 at the Etihad). However, often Grant Holt needed an out-and-out strike partner to share the goals out and leave the midfield to do their job. The signings of Ricky Van Wolfswinkel and Gary Hooper go a long way in replacing Holt, as both scored in abundance in their respective European leagues. If they combine as a duo as well as they did as individuals in their respective leagues, they have the potential to be a great partnership and able to strike fear in to any defence. As long as they ensure that they don't go on a significant losing streak and get off to a good start, they can ride on the momentum that they create that goes with a good winning streak for a long time and mix it up with such teams that will be aiming for Europe Prediction: 8th
