With Ron Vlaar and Karim El Ahmadi also signed by Villa manager Paul Lambert this Summer one thing€™s for sure, Brett Holman should get plenty of support settling into life at Villa Park. Not that Australian€™s have ever struggled to find their feet in the Premier League in the past. Villa€™s plight is well documented and a poor start to the season has only highlighted just how much work needs to be done but the former AZ winger can be a real part of their improvement. The direct and energetic talent provided 10 assists in just 24 Eredivisie appearances last season as AZ dared to lead the title race for much of the season. In addition Holman has 54 caps for Australia and that experience could be vital in helping develop Villa€™s small, young squad.
