Premier League Predictions: Who Will Finish Bottom Half?

14th: West Ham

For a newly promoted team, WestHam have played incredibly well so far. Too often have we as an audience seen promoted teams get immediately relegated, or suffer from 'Second Season Syndrome' and succumb to the trapdoor the year after. But West Ham, and particularly Sam Allardyce, have had a point to prove this season. The Hammers were keen to show the Premier League that they were a completely different team from the shambolic side that was relegated only a couple of seasons ago and Allardyce was keen to show the world that while he may mastered the art of the long ball, he has other tricks up his sleeve. Quite simply, it has worked so far - to an extent. West Ham have played some lovely football so far this season, and have managed some huge results against teams such as their 3 - 1 win over Chelsea. However, other, arguably easier fixtures have left them stumped, such as their 4 - 1 home loss to Wigan, and they're obviously not the finished product. They won't be relegated, but they should be wary nonetheless. And for the sake of my fantasy team, I hope Kevin Nolan keeps on scoring.
