Premier League Predictions: Who Will Finish Bottom Half?

15th: Sunderland

Martin O'Neill CC This situation is worse than it may appear: despite Steven Fletcher's tally of seven goals this season, Sunderland have only won four league games so far this year. When the Black Cats have won a game, they lost the next one the week after, and Martin O'Neill's men have lost too many games already, and drawn many more that they were expected to win. Again discipline has been a problem, and conceding a late goal is rarely beneficial to your team, and Lee Cattermole getting booked has become as stale and expected as a Call of Duty game. Their recent result against Southampton is one they need to build on, and emulate throughout the rest of the season. If titles can be won by the top teams who manage to win despite not being at their best, then this is almost certainly how many teams will manage to avoid relegation; and make no mistake, Sunderland fans, you will be in a relegation battle if this carries on. Luckily, I believe Martin O'Neill is more than capable of steering the Wearside club to safety.
