Premier League: Rating The Top 6 Chances Of Title Glory
5. Tottenham Hotspur
Why they could win the league: Spurs spent over £100 million during the summer transfer window, most of this from the world record fee received from Gareth Bale's move to Real Madrid. This means that they have brought in a few talented, exciting, young players, including: Erik Lamela, Christian Erikson, Etienne Capoue and Nacer Chadli. This influx of players into the squad should excite the manager and fans alike as it improves the Spurs squad as well as enlarging it. This gives the team more depth in a range of positions and also from a neutral point of view gives football fans the chance to watch some talented, young footballers. Apart from the players, manager Andre Villas-Boas is talented, with a lot to prove and a lot to bring to the club. I personally think he is an excellent manager and will go only get better as he gets older. He was the perfect man to replace Harry Redknapp and will take Spurs to bigger and better places. Why they might not win the league: Quite simply: Gareth Bale. Or rather the lack of him. He is without a doubt one of the best players in the world and won Spurs a fair few matches during his time at White Hart Lane. I wonder how much of an affect his absence will have on the team's performance. Some may argue that Spurs have replaced a world class player with mediocre players, but that remains to be seen. Another reason could be that the new players who are new to the league and the English style of play could take some time to adjust to the league and so take a while to reach their full potential.
I am a guy who loves watching movies, listening to music and playing video games. I also love picking them apart and finding what's good about them and what's bad about them, and then telling everyone else about them.
