Why they could win the league: The "Special One" has returned. To all watching, inside the club and out, it seems like a fated return. It will either be covered in glory or shrouded in disappointment and defeat. I personally think it will be the former. If anyone is going to break the cycle of hiring and firing at Chelsea it is going to be this man, Jose Mourinho. Love him or hate him he is one of the best and most charismatic managers in the game. With the financial backing of the owner I think Mourinho can make Chelsea Premier League Champions again. Even without spending a penny Mourinho already has an excellent squad, balanced with experience and youth. The team has players like Terry and Lampard from Mourinho's first stint in charge at Chelsea and also has lots of young exciting prospects such as Lukaku, De Bruyne and Courtois which suggest that Chelsea will be a formidable team for a long time (if Abramovich sticks with a manager for longer than a year). Why they might not win the league: Mourinho's huge personality may overshadow the team and so the Blue's performances may suffer. I think that Chelsea will win the league under Mourinho if he is given time, and time may be what he needs to mould a title winning side.
