Alongside Matic in the middle of the park has been Cesc Fabregas, and the former Arsenal and Barcelona man has been sensational since moving to west London in the summer. There were some who weren't quite sure how he would fare, considering he had a relatively disappointing spell in Spain by his high standards, but he has been one of the league's outstanding players in 2014/15 so far. In his nine Premier League appearances, he has made an incredible eight goals for teammates already, scoring one himself. To put that into perspective, Steven Gerrard had the most assists throughout the whole of last season, with 14. Some of his passing and movement has been sublime to watch, and at 27 years of age, he now looks the complete midfielder. He struggled to usurp the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta at Barcelona, but at Chelsea he looks like he's thriving as the main man. It's too early to know who will be in the running for the end-of season Player of the Year awards, but if Fabregas' magnificent form continues, he'll take some beating.
