Premier League: Top 5 Transfer Predictions For 2013

1. Cristiano Ronaldo To Manchester United/PSG

CristianoRonaldo One of, if not the biggest transfer rumours of the month has undoubtedly been Cristiano Ronaldo's possible departure from Spanish Champions Real Madrid. News broke late December that the former Man United ace would reject a contract extension at the Bernabeu with his deal set to expire in 2015 - with the player refusing to stay beyond that. The striker is understood to be unhappy with life in Spain* and feels that he isn't getting enough support from the club. Madrid are also enduring a torrid season as they are currently languishing in third place in La Liga. Further reports surfaced claiming that the player would also not cost the mind-boggling £100+ million and could be available for "just" £60 million - that's £20 million less than what Ferguson sold him for in 2009. How Likely Is It? If Ronaldo does become available, that would almost certainly spark a bidding war with mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain. It would appear that the Qatar-owned club would be able to out-muscle United in such bidding war but United do have an edge in the obvious emotional ties they have with Ronaldo - who spent six seasons at Old Trafford. Whether or not Ferguson could afford him though is an entirely different matter. Source(s): Mirror
