Premier League Transfers: 10 Spanish Stars Who Could Move To England

3. Alvaro Negredo

Alvaro Negredo A prolific striker for season upon season, Negredo, along with Navas, has been a key player for Sevilla. However, as stated previously, due to Sevilla's financial struggles, no player at the club is unavailable for sale. And with Negredo's impressive record in front of goal, there will be a number of high profile suitors across Europe, not least from the Premier League. Valued at around 20 million euros, Negredo has been linked with a series of Premier League clubs already. ESPN reported that Everton have targeted the Spaniard after a disappointing showing from Nikica Jelavic. However they made need to move quickly if they are to ensure they get their man, and with no manager at time of writing, that may be difficult. Even League Cup winners, and future Europa League competitors Swansea City have been linked with a swoop for Negredo. While successful this term, Swansea have had to play star man Michu out of position at centre forward for much of the campaign following Danny Graham's January move to Sunderland. Negredo would certainly solve their striker crisis; however he may set his sights a tad higher. Negredo is definitely a player of Tottenham Hotspur's calibre. And with Villas Boas in the market for a new striker after Spurs relied heavily on the exploits of Gareth Bale last term, Negredo may be a player that Villas Boas looks at carefully. Moreover, Bale looks to be departing White hart Lane, with Real Madrid firm favourites to sign the Welshman, after their President, Florentino Perez has identified him as their number one transfer target, What is for sure is that if Spurs meet Sevilla's valuation of Negredo, the striker would favour a move to White Hart Lane over the two previous clubs. However a final complication regarding Negredo potential move to the Premier League relates to Falcao's move to Monaco. It has been reported that Athletico Madrid are eyeing Negredo up to replace the Colombian. Interest from Athletico could tempt the Spaniard to remain in Spain ahead of the World Cup at the culmination of La Liga's domestic season.
