Premier League Transfers: What All 20 Teams Need In The Winter Window

Newcastle

What do they need? Alan Pardew should be looking for somebody to share the scoring burden with loan star Loic Remy. After all the French forward may not be on Tyneside past the end of the season... Linked with: Cheick Diabate (Bordeaux), Bafetimbi Gomis (Lyon), Luuk de Jong (Borussia Monchengladbach), Ola Toivonen (PSV Eindhoven), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United). Who we'd like to see at St James' Park: The Toon seem to us to be a little short in the number ten position. Hatem Ben Arfa is wildly inconsistent and Yohan Cabaye always looks more comfortable in a deeper-lying berth.
Toivonen is the only name listed above that fits the bill for this berth. It is not working out for the Sweden attacker at PSV this term and if he fancies a crack at the Premier League then we think here or the next team would suit him...

Norwich

What do they need? Chris Hughton should be hoping to capture a creative, attacking midfield player and someone to shore up the Canaries defence. The trouble is even the local press are talking more about departures than arrivals in East Anglia. Linked with: Johnny Heitinga (Everton), Ola Toivonen (PSV Eindhoven). Who we'd like to see at Carrow Road:Heitinga and Toivonen could conceivably be lured to Norwich because fellow countrymen of theirs are already on the books. Leroy Fer and Ricky van Wolfswinkel comprise the existing Dutch contingent.
Johan Elmander and Martin Olsson €“ Toivonen's fellow Swedes €“ join Alexander Tettey in making up a Scandinavian presence.
