Premier League Transfers: What All 20 Teams Need In The Winter Window
Fulham
What do they need? Defensive reinforcements, some midfield dynamism and a centre forward that can link up with Dimitar Berbatov. Rene Meulensteen may be likely to play 4-3-3, but he has little flexibility with the current playing staff. Linked with: Benjamin Angoua (Valenciennes), Phil Bardsley (Sunderland), Anderson (Manchester United), Tomas Rincon (Hamburg), Balazs Dzsudzsak (Dynamo Moscow). Who we'd like to see at Craven Cottage: Nikica Jelavic. You might think Everton misfit Jelavic would be mad to join Fulham when his current employers are right in the mix for European football for next season. He once ripped the West Londoners apart. There are, however, personal reasons for a January transfer in his case. Croatia made it through the to the World Cup finals by beating Iceland in the playoffs. Jelavic will not figure in Brazil, let alone make Niko Kovac's squad, if he continues to be an unused substitute at Goodison Park. Berbatov might make the perfect partner for him.
Hull
What do they need? A goalscorer to ensure Steve Bruce keeps the Tigers up although the job is already half done. Linked with: Shola Ameobi (Newcastle United), Steven Fletcher and Sebastian Larsson (both Sunderland), Shane Long (West Bromwich Albion), Nick Powell (Manchester United). Who we'd like to see at the KC Stadium: Steven Fletcher and Shane Long. Bruce is inevitably linked with going back to former club Sunderland to sign players. The likes of Larsson and Fletcher may fancy jumping ship as Hull look more likely to stay in the Premier League than the Black Cats. Republic of Ireland frontman Long definitely interested the Tigers during the summer. Given Albion have the emerging Saido Berahino and several other strikers on their books, Bruce may land his man in the winter window. Long, like Fletcher, certainly fits the bill of proven at this level, but may interest Spurs.
