Premier League Transfers: What All 20 Teams Need In The Winter Window
Crystal Palace
What do they need? Like all struggling sides Tony Pulis requires a prolific goalscorer to lift the Eagles away from danger. History is against him, however. Linked with: Joe Ledley (Celtic), Scott Dann and Jordan Rhodes (both Blackburn Rovers), Bafetimbi Gomis (Lyon), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United). Who we'd like to see at Selhurst Park: Lyon target man Gomis has averaged a goal every two games in Ligue 1. He would be a typical Pulis signing. Jordan Rhodes is more mobile, however, and is therefore a preferable purchase if Palace are splashing out on a striker. It'd also be interesting to see how Celtic midfielder Ledley would fare in the Premier League. This left-footed player might add some much needed composure to passing.
Everton
What do they need? Roberto Martinez will need defensive cover as Johnny Heitinga is set to leave Merseyside. The Toffees must also try to create proper competition in wide berths and provide genuine backup for Romelu Lukaku. Linked with: Bruno Martins Indi (Feyenoord), Ryan Gauld and John Souttar (both Dundee United), Aiden McGeady (Spartak Moscow), Yann M'Vila (Rubin Kazan), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United), Alfred Finnbogason (Heerenveen). Who we'd like to see at Goodison Park: Portuguese-born Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi could be the long-term successor to the highly consistent, but ageing Sylvain Distin. Iceland international Alfred Finnbogason meanwhile could be the one to relieve some onus off Romelu Lukaku. Aiden McGeady is known to be a player that has interested Martinez in the past whilst Zaha could join Everton on loan to sweeten any deal Manchester United may offer for target Leighton Baines. Yann M'Vila has a bad boy reputation, so the Toffees should not consider him.
