Value: £57.2million Angel Di Maria must've known wearing the fabled Manchester United number seven shirt was bound to give rise to enormous expectations not to mention the £57.9million fee that brought him to Old Trafford last August. To his credit, the former Real Madrid winger has produced a hatful of fine displays including both goals and assists under Louis van Gaal this season. His pace, trickery and vision has added a dimension of individual brilliance not seen at United since Cristiano Ronaldo earned his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2009. However, statistically, he hasn't been particularly impressive this season the 27-year-old is bettered by a handful of other Premier League stars in terms of dribbling and key passes. It would be vain to judge him on the 11 league appearances he has made for the Red Devils. His numbers don't shine particularly bright compared to the rest of the league, but Di Maria is exactly the type of player United need to regain their place at the forefront of world football. Although Van Gaal might've overpaid for the Argentine last summer, any interested clubs will have to do the same in order to snatch him away.
