Premier League's Most Overrated Players By Position

5. CM - Paul Pogba - Manchester United

Without a shadow of a doubt, the most overrated player in the entire league is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is the second coming of Mario Balotelli: oozing talent but rarely willng/able to show it. As such, he's been a complete ghost in United's midfield for the majority of the season.

There're two types of Man United fans; the pragmatic ones, and the delusional. The latter are the fans who are simply convinced beyond all reason that Pogba is world class. Surely he must be? He cost so much money! Well, there's a reason Alex Ferguson got rid of him all those years ago, there's a reason Juventus were willing to sell him, and there's a reason Mourinho called him a virus.

Pogba is capable of being a great player, as he showed for a handful of games this season, but he is incapable of capturing any sort of consistency. He can smash a top corner from 30 yards one game, then be a total non-factor for the next half dozen games. Compare him to captain's like Roy Keane and even Wayne Rooney, and it's obvious he will never be the player United needs him to be. He does not bleed red and will undoubtedly move on to another club in the near future for more money. Cash-in and move-on.
